MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: A  27% LIFT IN SALES PERFORMANCE

Sales effectiveness was not where it needed to be. African Bank needed more than effort – they needed a systematic way to embed sales excellence as a daily practice. Through our #ShowMeYourShift programme, sales leaders and consultants kicked into higher gear, unlocking a 27% lift across six product areas.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

243 leaders and 126 sales consultants

to lean into their audacious DNA and show us their SHIFT, as they underwent a journey of focused learning,

across three delivery cycles over a six-month period.

Each delivery cycle focus on sales-specific competencies for both the sales consultants and leaders, and was delivered through eLearning, masterclasses, and personal coaching, as well as a leadership mindset track.

 

Thanks to a bespoke learning progamme, supported by a targeted communications strategy to motivate the sales consultants and leaders, as well as overt support from the project sponsors, we achieved massive SHIFT!

In Cycle 1 of the African Bank Sales Transformation Programme, we created the scaffolding for a sales culture that helped our sales teams hit the numbers, consistently.

 

In Cycles 2 and 3, our African Bank Sales Superheroes stretched even further, growing their sales capability exponentially to deliver sales effectiveness that shot the lights out.

Our 3rd African Bank Leadership Masterclass set out to inspire, motivate, and seed a profound mindset shift – from traditional banking to stewardship of a mission, manifesting as a bank. The subject of this masterclass – and in the audience as we delivered it – was the former President of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki.

OMNI TRANSFORMATION

African Bank was transitioning from a strictly loans to a transactional retail bank, with full Omni-channel capability. This required an incredible shift of perspective; a diversification of product offering, reinvention of service and the honest buy-in of an entire team of staff, salespeople and consultants.

Following a successful launch into the transactional market, African Bank

had to maintain focus and momentum. The bank and its people had been rocked by tremendous change in a short period. Support, inspiration and value-driven behavioural change were key to executing on AB’s ambitious, customer-obsessed strategy.

We had six months to connect almost 4000 people to story. 183 days to build a unified culture dedicated to African Bank’s pyramid peak purpose of advancing lives.
